Lucky Chips

3 February 2011
.
One set of four lucky chips for casinos in Las Vegas, Nevada. They all range from USD5 to USD1,000,000.
.
But unfortunately, these are of no value at the casinos. But to a fridge magnet collector, these are priceless!

I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing

21 January 2011
.
Since I am now posting my fridge magnets here in a bid to avoid giving this blog special preference compared to
http://magneticmira.blogspot.com/, here is a belated entry. Acquisition from Izwan's trip to Las Vegas January last year.

It is six bucks. USD. Pretty pricey if you convert to our currency. But the magnet is heavy and sturdy. Worth it!
.
.
Anyways, "I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing" was the song/jingle in a Coke advert I can still recall from my childhood.

Hurrah! It's Harrah!

.
.
It cost Izwan USD6 for this Harrah's Las Vegas Hotel & Casino and it is now priceless. During his trip last moth, he had asked what type of fridge magnets I want; since I have quite a bit from Las Vegas already (but of course la kan... since taht is sort of his "kampung" ekekeke). So apart from the usual souvenir magnets and Hard Rock Cafe for me and my 3 friends (Sha, GH & Wood), I asked him to get me originals from the casino hotels at the Las Vegas strip.
.
And my beloved husband did it. God bless him (now I sound like Sookie Stackhouse in the books). This is one of them. It is a bottle opener and he got it from the hotel souvenir shop.

Caesar Palace

Caesar Palace is certainly one of the best in Las Vegas. The place is awesome; I remember clearly from both my trips there in 1999 and 2006. It was like being in Rome; in those days, you know.

So since Izwan was there last week or so, I made him get me the authentic momento from the hotel. It was around USD 6, but this golden head of Caesar with the hotel's name in its famous font is now mine.

Revisit: Las Vegas 2D

The lights of Las Vegas strip. Another city, if possible, I'd like to go again. I remember I was in awe as we headed towards Las Vegas night time, after a day trip to Grand Canyon. The city lights, beautiful!

Another revisit! This entry was done in March 2008. Check it out: here.

Las Vegas Dice

Izwan stayed at the Venetian during his trip to Las Vegas in June 2007. And he saw the Blue Man Group performed there. Jeles! Jeles! But he got me various magnets that are different from the LV magents that I've already got. Some of them are 3-D; just like this one:

The hotel wants you to experience the romance of Italy in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip. It offers enchanting atmosphere of this all-suite Las Vegas hotel resort. There are 19 remarkable restaurants and 80 international boutiques of The Grand Canal Shoppes! We did roam around and had dinner at the Venetian during our trip in 2006 and I remember Tasha was very impressed with the decor. Who knows, we might even go there again, say... in ten years? hehe

Down to Three

So here's the triplets:
#67 "The Blue Dice"

#68 "The Purple Dice"

# 69 "The Magenta Dice"
Where from: Las Vegas, USA Where now: Home
Who: Izwan
When: 2007

Reported missing: "The Red Dice"

Twin? No, it's Triplets!

Triplets, huh? No, not that one, it's this one:
The Las Vegas triplets. Well, they originally bought as a quadraplet, with a red one, to add. But post birthday party I had for my children in 2007, I noticed that the four has been reduced to a three. It was indeed a sad moment. Someone has taken my red Vegas dice. There were quite many people in the house then; but my intuition tells me it wasn't a misdeed by a child.
Here they are again in another pose.
And another. Izwan bought them during his trip o Vegas/LA in 2007. Yup, the one he had just after a few month we went there with Hafiz and Natasha.

Although only three are left, I still cherish them.

FM Freak

#50.
Just like the African Zebra, this too wasn't an FM original. It was given to us in the form of a key chain years ago. I (in all my imaturity then) turned it into an FM. But hey, I'm happy with it. I dont think I'll do the converting stuff again coz I have matured and I do appreciate stuff in it's original form. But no, I am not going to turn it back to its original form; no thank you :-)

Viva Las Vegas

#19

Another Las Vegas magnet from Izwan's 2007 trip to Vegas/LA. Its siblings includes the sexy #15. Izwan bought tow of the same; and I think the other one is now a decor on my mom's fridge at their crib in JB.

I bought this during our trip on the way to Las Vegas last year. It was actually bought in Laughlin, I think (i'll check with Izwan on the facts).

Sin City

#15

I have shown a pic of this magnet to some friends and told them it is my favourite. And I am not lying.

Izwan got this for me during his trip earlier this year to Las Vegas. It's abottle opener with a very sexy skimpily dressed Vegas showgirl/stripper (?) .

It's Sin City, allright.
