This is a 2D fridge magnet. Truly awesome one. The lights of the Big Apple making the city glitter. Tho not exactly one of the wroking trips Izwan made that I terribly approve of. Haha. Ada cerita ni, sebenarnya. Simply said: Parl Savoy, North Bergen!!!
Tho I must say that I wish is has trip to that side of the world soon. Yeah, handbags and chocolates and new fridge magnets, what else? Oh yeah, clothes for the kids. Otherwise we probably have to go shopping in Bandung and Jakarta again Heh!!

Kick His Ass!

One more recent acquisition. Izwan was in Bangkok 22 to 24 Feb 2010 and bought home 2 fridge magnets. He knows I have quite a bit of Thai FM already but he cleverly chose rubberised ones to add to my collection:

Penny Is Lucky

Izwan got this lucky penny fridge magnet in San Francisco. It says "I spent time on Alcatraz". Can u imagine if he had taken his SLR to San Francisco? I bet the pictures are going to be far better than the ones he took; and those are already in the "good pictures" category.

Fly Me To The Moon

.

Some people will just kill for this one. Heheh *perasan mode*
.
From the NASA Centre in Houston
.
This is a fridge magnet.
It is a mini NASA rocket that the American sends to 'outerspace'.
Enjoy the pictures.
I certainly enjoyed taking them.

To market, to market

Home again. home again
jiggity jig.

Remember that tune? I learned it in school, over 30 years ago. Heh. Izwan bought this farmers market when he was in Seattle. A beautiful porcelain magnet, complete with red ribbon with gold band.

Black Pepper San Francisco Crab

.
.
Oh my oh my.
.
I remember my reaction when I first looked at it.
Jaw dropped, picked it up to the floor; re-attached to face.
This one is awesome.
I repeat: awesome.

With all the detailing. It is a darn pretty crab, I tell ya. Available only in San Francisco. At the Fisherman's Wharf. You know, place where you can smell all the sealions from 3 miles away. Heh. Not that I've been there.

And it can open bottles as well.

Hurrah! It's Harrah!

.
.
It cost Izwan USD6 for this Harrah's Las Vegas Hotel & Casino and it is now priceless. During his trip last moth, he had asked what type of fridge magnets I want; since I have quite a bit from Las Vegas already (but of course la kan... since taht is sort of his "kampung" ekekeke). So apart from the usual souvenir magnets and Hard Rock Cafe for me and my 3 friends (Sha, GH & Wood), I asked him to get me originals from the casino hotels at the Las Vegas strip.
.
And my beloved husband did it. God bless him (now I sound like Sookie Stackhouse in the books). This is one of them. It is a bottle opener and he got it from the hotel souvenir shop.

Caribou Caribou

.
.
This one is one of my favourite. It shows the skull of a caribou- complete with horn and sort of Gothic way telling us that it hails from Texas.
I like the detailing of the magnet, each hole in the supposed wood where the skull is attached to.

What if I tell you that the material is plastic mix?

Yes, it may look rather scary/spooky but it is one of the highlights on my fridge. My daughter doesn't seem to appreciate it as much, tho. Whenever she can, she'll move it to the side of the fridge.

Caesar Palace

Caesar Palace is certainly one of the best in Las Vegas. The place is awesome; I remember clearly from both my trips there in 1999 and 2006. It was like being in Rome; in those days, you know.

So since Izwan was there last week or so, I made him get me the authentic momento from the hotel. It was around USD 6, but this golden head of Caesar with the hotel's name in its famous font is now mine.

Beverly Hills 90210

remember the series Beverly Hills 90210? Yup, that one. I think they've made a remake of it, with younger generation. Anyways, Izwan went there and got me this:

All shiny and sparkly! Yup, my most recent piece of Beverly Hills. Probably the best we can afford from there!

Fountain of Youth

This is a Bellagio of Las Vegas original. I made Izwan went to each hotel and check out their hotel souvenirs outlet. He bought this at the gorgeous Bellagio Hotel. Yes, the hotel with the wonderfull dancing fountain.

It was one of the priceyer fridge magnet. USD8 each. But since he doesn't go there often (maybe only once a year - duh!) he bought it for me. He must have spent around USD60 for my hobby. That is excluding the Hard Rock Cafe fridge magnets.
